UofL Health is seeking a Chaplain to provide intensive spiritual care across the hospital and assigned clinical areas. The Chaplain will spend approximately 80% at South Hospital and 20% at Brown Cancer Center at South Hospital, coordinating volunteer on-call chaplains for overnight and weekend coverage.

The role emphasizes assessing spiritual needs, supporting patients, families, and staff, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s level degree accepted by certifying chaplaincy organizations.
• Master of Divinity with specialization in chaplaincy preferred.
• For PRN roles, completion of at least half of a Master’s degree is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Recruit, train, and coordinate community clergy as volunteer on-call chaplains for overnight/weekend coverage.
• Assess patients and families’ spiritual needs and provide culturally sensitive care.
• Communicate spiritual care needs to the interdisciplinary care team and collaborate with staff.
• Provide spiritual care and emotional support to hospital employees.
• Participate in Chaplaincy Services educational programs for interns and residents.
• Document all spiritual care interventions in patients’ medical records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
