Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited theological or divinity school with a master's or doctorate degree in divinity, theology or related field.
• Ordination and/or denominational or ecclesiastical endorsement.
• At least two units of Clinical Pastoral Education, one of which is accomplished in a psychiatric setting.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing religious and spiritual assessment, interventions and evaluation as part of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Conduct individual, group and family pastoral care and counseling.
• Plan and conducts hospital worship, holiday, special occasion, funeral and memorial services and liturgies.
• Provide consultation on ethics and patient rights to patients, treatment teams and hospital management.
• Liaison with community religious groups, agencies and institutions to coordinate religious care of patients, religious volunteer services, and special programming or service needs for patients.
