Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree; Masters of Divinity strongly preferred; APC/NACC certification trajectory encouraged.
• Two to three years pastoral experience recommended in a secular, multi-faith setting.
• Demonstrated emotional and spiritual maturity for crisis settings; strong pastoral care skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct ministry to patients and families and support staff on inpatient units.
• Perform spiritual assessments and provide pastoral care, sacraments, and counseling.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and participate in interdisciplinary care conferences.
• Document assessments and interventions in patient records and department logs.
• Plan and support hospital-wide worship services on Sundays and holidays.
• Contribute to departmental education programs and clinical ethics discussions.
• Mentor CPE students and supervise volunteers and staff.
• Assist in developing policies to improve patient and family care.
• Maintain professional cognate relationships and pursue continuing education.
• Perform other pastoral and administrative duties as needed.
