Job summary

St. David's North Austin Medical Center is seeking a Chaplain PRN to provide spiritual guidance and emotional support to patients, families, and staff across hospital departments. You will document services in the patient record and work with the Ethics Committee and interdisciplinary teams to address ethical issues.

The role emphasizes crisis intervention, patient-centered care, and collaboration with community clergy to meet spiritual needs while supporting hospital programs and policies.

Qualifications

• Experience as a hospital chaplain is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
• 1 unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) accredited by ACPE.

Responsibilities

• Provide visitation and spiritual support to patients, families, staff, and physicians.
• Reduce anxiety, mediate conflicts, and offer prayer when appropriate.
• Coordinate patient visits and liaison with community churches and clergy.
