Job summary

Allina Health Chaplains promote the spiritual well-being of patients, families, and employees through culturally responsive, trauma-informed spiritual care. Delivery includes assessment of needs, referrals, leading groups, and documenting encounters in the electronic medical record.

The Casual (0.0 FTE) role offers variable day/evening/night shifts with occasional weekend rotation and on-call coverage based on department needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from nationally and locally accredited institution.
• Completion of one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education.
• One year of experience as a spiritual care provider.

Responsibilities

• Delivers or arranges spiritual care to patients and families; assess spiritual needs, respond to referrals, lead groups, provide end-of-life and crisis care, and document encounters in the EHR.
• Provides weekend and overnight on-call coverage for end of life, critical incidents, grief and loss, critical care, and culturally responsive care needs; supports healthcare team as needed.
• Supports interdisciplinary approach to spiritual care by addressing unique spiritual, religious, and cultural needs of patients, families, and employees.
• Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree

Master's degree (preferred)

One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education

Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (preferred)
