Job summary

Geisinger Medical Center seeks a Chaplain to provide spiritual care to patients, families, and staff. The role involves direct chaplaincy services across diverse beliefs, collaboration with medical teams, and timely EMR documentation.

The position requires a Master’s in a related field, 4 units of CPE, endorsement or ordination, and board certification within 3 years of hire. The successful candidate will support daily clinical activity within a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field is required.
• 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education are required.
• Board Certified Chaplain within 3 years of hire.
• Ordination or Ecclesiastical Endorsement is required.

Responsibilities

• Attend interdisciplinary team conferences and meetings.
• Provide direct chaplaincy services to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Consult patient/family clergy of choice and advise on admission.
• Document visits and calls in the EMR promptly.
• Offer consultation and support to other team members.
• Assist with training programs and in-service education.
