Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to maintain hospital facilities in Bismarck, ND on 1st shift, ensuring reliable operation of critical systems and patient safety.

As a client-facing member of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, fire safety, and plumbing, document tasks in the CMMS, and uphold CBRE safety and service standards while coaching colleagues and supporting continuous facility operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school with 4-5 years of related experience.
• Universal CFC certification preferred; licenses may be required by local/state jurisdictions.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet physical requirements of the role.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial HVAC systems.
• Inspect fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure design specs and environmental conditions.
• Execute work orders and monthly preventive maintenance tasks in CMMS.
• Collaborate with on-site engineering team to support facility maintenance needs.
• Follow safety protocols including working at heights and lifting heavy loads.
• Serve as primary client contact and provide maintenance status updates.
• Share in-depth knowledge and coach others in the discipline.
• Lead by example in CBRE RISE values and build consensus.
• Impact a range of customer, operational, and service activities within teams.
