You'll work on-site, handling primary tasks such as Medicare/other payer coordination, COB, and accurate data entry. The position requires a high school diploma and hospital billing experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Three years' experience in a medical field, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Ensures insurance claims are sent timely and accurately to payer plans.
• Researches and resolves claim edits via Epic Work Queues and external billing software.
• Prepares and processes secondary and tertiary insurance claims with COB accuracy.
• Ensures compliance and billing requirements for WC and third-party liability claims.
• Submits claims with documentation using ROI module in HIS.
• Verifies and updates patient account demographic and financial information.
• Enters account notes detailing actions taken to reconcile claims.
• Works with hospital departments to ensure authorizations and charge data are in place.
• Coordinates with the CDM Coordinator to ensure implanted devices are billed correctly.
• Reviews Medicare CWF to determine primary payer per MSPQ.
