Responsibilities

• Calling payors for payment.
• Process third-party insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and other programs.
• Know payer regulations for submitting claims.
• Billing clerk sends claims electronically or on paper.
• Handle day-to-day requests for insurance resubmits.
• Answer calls and correspondence relating to the claim.
• Audit admission/registration information for billing accuracy.
