Qualifications

• 4 years of experience as a billing manager in Patient Financial Services in a large hospital or centralized office; or 8 years without a degree.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial billing.

• Oversee Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial billing activities to maximize reimbursement.
• Minimize accounts receivable through timely and accurate handling of patient accounts.
• Lead the centralized billing team in a hospital setting.

The Hospital Billing Manager is responsible for the management of all Medicare, commercial and Medicaid billing activities within the centralized business office in order to maintain and maximize reimbursement and minimize accounts receivable through the timely and accurate handling of patient accounts and claims.

A Bachelor’s Degree in business and four years experience as a billing manager within Patient Financial services in a large hospital, healthcare system or centralized business office; or eight years experience as a billing manager within Patient Financial Services in a large hospital, healthcare system or centralized business office in lieu of a degree.
