Job summary

The Anne Arundel County Department of Health is seeking a peer-based leader to engage with overdose survivors and connect them to treatment and recovery services. This full-time position requires extensive community interaction and requires individuals to have a minimum of two years in sustained recovery from a substance use disorder.

The role will involve delivering education, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with healthcare teams to support individuals on their recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of sustained recovery from a substance use disorder.
• Familiarity with treatment and community resources that support recovery.
• No current criminal justice system involvement.

Responsibilities

• Engage with overdose survivors and provide harm reduction resources.
• Document interactions and maintain records in the Welligent system.
• Conduct education and outreach in individual and group settings.
