Job Summary
Under supervision of the Administrative Nurse Manager and MA Supervisor, guided by policies and procedures of the Ambulatory Services, and in collaboration with the Clinical Nursing Staff, the Hospital Assistant III assists in the delivery of care to patients in multiple Cancer Center ambulatory group practices. This position supports the various cost centers within the Cancer Center, multiple campuses, and satellite offices. Work includes a variety of personal care and nursing procedures including assuring positive care outcomes. They will perform assigned patient care and laboratory procedures in support of the specialty care services provided to patients within the practices. They are required to learn and be able to assist in all Cancer Center specialty practices. S/he is required to adhere to the Telephone and House Standards as adopted by the Medical Center.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $32.86 - $41.01 (Hourly Rate).

The UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center is an accredited National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center. The NCI-Designation recognizes the scientific leadership, resources, and the depth and breadth of the research in basic, clinical and population science. As a Comprehensive Cancer Center, we demonstrate the added depth and breadth of research as well as substantial transdisciplinary research that bridges these scientific areas. The clinical services encompass adult and pediatric tumors across three campuses as well as regional satellite locations. The clinical cancer program is one of the largest clinical services at UCSF Medical Center and encompasses roughly 230 non-physician FTEs, 90+ cost center, and dozens of grant and philanthropic funding sources. At the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center we are truly pioneering care and leaders in all areas of cancer clinical care and research.
