Job summary

University of California, Irvine is seeking a Laboratory Processor to perform specimen processing and accessioning in the Central Processing area. The role involves computer data entry, telephone reception, and transporting specimens, with printing and delivering lab reports.

You will review reports and conduct quality review and troubleshooting. Candidates should have one year of clinical lab experience, strong English communication, and the ability to work weekends and rotating shifts.

• Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Experience with lab/hospital computer systems and software
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Demonstrated experience using a computer, including data entry and retrieval
• Ability to work weekends, and rotating shifts including evenings, nights and holidays
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization
