Job summary

Avera St Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen, SD seeks a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy to provide and manage direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and patient care.

You will assess, diagnose, treat, perform procedures, educate patients and families, and maintain accurate records while adhering to safety standards and care team collaborations. This is a full-time role with rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor license and board certification or eligibility in state of practice
• Doctor of Osteopathy license and board eligibility in state of practice
• Federal Drug Enforcement Admin (DEA) license based on state of practice

Responsibilities

• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients according to medical staff approved protocol and acceptable standards of practice.
• Provides medical services and health education to patients and family members; contributes to health education of individuals and groups.
• Performs necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Interprets information gathered during the diagnostic process and formulates an appropriate plan of care.
• Maintains patient records and accurate information.
• Ensures safety and aseptic practices in patient care and environment of care.
