Job summary

Avera Orthopedics Aberdeen in Aberdeen, SD seeks a qualified physician to join our multidisciplinary team. You will provide medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and comprehensive patient care in a defined specialty area, aligned with approved protocols and standards.

You will assess and treat patients, perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures, educate patients and families, maintain records, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Medical Doctor license in the state of practice.
• DO license in the state of practice.
• DEA license required for practice.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients according to medical staff approved protocol and acceptable standards of practice.
• Provides medical services and health education to patients and family members and promotes health literacy.
• Performs necessary diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Interprets information from the diagnostic process and formulates an appropriate plan of care.
• Maintains patient records and ensures accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborates with the care team for referrals and maintains a safe environment of care.
