The role requires teamwork, basic math skills, and effective communication to coordinate with staff and ensure timely service. Job shift: Days, 7:30am-4:00pm, full-time, hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Education: Some high school;18+ to operate kitchen equipment.
• Experience: Minimal or no cooking experience required.
• Hazardous working conditions: hospital environment with exposure to fumes/odors and temperature changes.

Responsibilities

• Reviews menus and prepares meals according to hospital and Meals-On-Wheels guidelines.
• Initiates production of meals and prioritizes tasks as needed.
• Monitors inventory and reports shortages or surpluses to prevent waste.
• Maintains a clean, safe workspace in a food-safe environment.
• Coordinates with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and meal delivery.
