Job summary

Avera Queen of Peace Hospital seeks an Admissions Specialist to register patients accurately and promptly, create accounts/medical record numbers, verify insurance, collect co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket expenses, and coordinate with patients and hospital staff.

You will handle insurance verifications, pre-certifications, and authorizations for assigned accounts, ensure HIPAA compliance, and maintain positive patient relations while supporting a smooth registration workflow in a busy

Qualifications

• High School or GED Equivalent.
• Healthcare experience 1-3 years related to billing, insurance or registration.
