UHS is currently recruiting for our Hospital Administrator Program at Northwest Texas Healthcare System in Amarillo, TX. Northwest Texas Healthcare System is a 404-bed acute care facility and medical center that provides high-quality medical services to residents of Amarillo, Texas and the surrounding region. The facility is also a designated tertiary care academic institution that provides physicians and patients advanced technological innovations for diagnosis and treatment of the most acute clinical conditions. The emergency department is an Advanced (Level III) Trauma facility, treating approximately 57,000 patients annually. More information about the facility can be found at .
The selected candidate will provide day-to-day operations for various hospital departments and be assigned projects to further the strategy of the Hospitals. He/she will implement the strategy of the CEO and COO and will manage their assigned departments efficiently and effectively to maximize the quality of services and the profits of the hospital. The individual will also be enrolled in our corporate Leadership Development classes to further their development as a junior executive and prepare the individual to become a COO within UHS.
Position Requirements:
Knowledge: Knowledge of the financial implications of decisions including budgeting and forecasting for a limited number of departments and/or projects is required.
Skills: Must be detail oriented and able to focus on nuances of multiple hospital operations. Effective communication skills with diverse groups, including physicians, managers, and employees is required.
Education: Master's degree required (MBA, MHA or related program).
