Job summary

Sunshine Retirement Living seeks an experienced Supervisor: Executive Chef or Management Team to lead dining room operations for residents and guests. You will supervise meal service, ensure quality, safety, and courtesy, and uphold our standards of People, Passion, and Excellence.

Responsibilities include coordinating with kitchen staff, presenting meal alternatives, maintaining sanitation, and protecting resident confidentiality while providing outstanding customer service in a team-oriented

Qualifications

• Maintains food handlers permit as necessary to fulfill state regulations
• General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
• Ability to patiently present meal alternatives to residents and guests
• Must meet state age-related requirements or other state requirements
• Effective English communication, verbally and in writing
• Ability to work in a team setting and be a positive team player
• Maintain a positive, respectful, and professional approach with coworkers and residents
• Confidential handling of business and resident information
• Excellent customer service and organizational skills
• Ability to work with little supervision and maintain performance
• Ability to meet deadlines while following policies, procedures, and standards
• Pass criminal record clearance, health screening, and TB clearance (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and visitors at table before taking orders or serving
• Take meal orders and deliver to kitchen using POS tablets or paper tickets
• Serve beverages, cereals, soups, salads, meals, and desserts
• Respond to patron needs and report issues to management promptly
• Deliver meal trays to resident apartments as needed
• Bus and clean dining room tables and chairs
• Set tables for next meal
• Complete side duties like adding sugar and creamer packets
• Perform other duties as assigned by Assistant Manager or Dining Room Coordinator
