Job summary

JourneyCare Hospice is seeking a Hospice Weekend Admission RN for Every Other Friday and Saturday in Deerfield, IL. Newly offering competitive salaries with immediate opening. Great culture, mileage reimbursement, and a strong 401(k) plan accompany flexible weekend hours.

Responsibilities include pre-admission evaluations, guiding patients and families through admission, obtaining informed consent, and delivering initial nursing assessments and care plans to enhance comfort and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
• Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice (Illinois).
• Current CPR certification required.
• 1 year hospice experience preferred.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Ability to deal tactfully with patients, family members, visitors, agency personnel, and staff.
• Knowledge of quality assessment and assurance procedures.
