Job summary

Infinity Hospice Care in Reno, NV is seeking a dedicated Volunteer and Veterans Coordinator. You will lead the volunteer program across sites, recruit and train volunteers, and coordinate with the IDT to support patient care and veteran services.

You will promote the We Honor Veterans program, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain partnerships with veteran organizations to increase service utilization and program impact.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience in recruitment and management of hospice volunteers.
• Desirable experience in community resources, social work, and volunteerism.
• Working knowledge of community resources.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the IDG/Team and the community.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations.
• Reliable transportation and valid auto liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support volunteer program across multiple sites.
• Recruit, train, retain, and supervise volunteers.
• Promote We Honor Veterans (WHV) program and community outreach.
• Develop and maintain policies for the volunteer program.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws related to volunteers.
• Participate in care planning and IDT coordination; document volunteer activities.
• Track census and value of volunteer contributions; report metrics.
• Collaborate with HR and Volunteer Coordinator to manage volunteering needs.
