Job summary

AccentCare, Inc. seeks a hospice field visit physician in the Houston area to provide patient-centered medical care for those with serious or terminal illnesses. You will conduct hospice/palliative visits, assess eligibility, manage symptoms, and support families in goals-of-care discussions.

Responsibilities include evaluating pain, coordinating with care teams, and ensuring compliant documentation. Must hold MD/DO licensure in Texas, DEA license, and possess strong communication and clinical

Qualifications

• Licensed MD or DO in the practicing state with terminal illness care training/experience.
• Active DEA registration and familiarity with hospice/palliative regulations.
• Excellent communication with patients, families and care teams.
• Strong clinical judgment for end-of-life decision-making.
• Preferred hospice visit experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate pain, symptoms, and hospice eligibility during visits.
• Counsel patients and families on care options and advance care planning.
• Order tests, initiate treatment and conduct face-to-face visits as needed.
• Serve as Attending Physician when appropriate.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and document timely.
