Job summary

AccentCare, Inc. seeks a Hospice Team Physician to provide clinical leadership within an interdisciplinary team in Edison, NJ. The role is hybrid and part-time, offering a minimum annual salary of $62,500 with an expected schedule of 10–12 hours per week.

The physician will work with nurses, social workers, chaplains, and other clinicians to develop individualized care plans, manage symptoms, and ensure compliant documentation while supporting patients and families during end-of-life care.

Qualifications

• Licensed MD or DO in state(s) of practice with experience in caring for chronically or terminally ill patients.
• Maintains active DEA license.
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical leader within the Interdisciplinary Group; contribute to care planning and quality improvement.
• Provide medical care for hospice patients, including symptom management and medications review.
• Develop, review, and update Plans of Care to meet patient and family needs.
• Complete certifications and attestations per hospice regulations.
• Collaborate with Attending Physicians and families on care plans and decisions.
• Participate in on-call coverage to ensure 24/7 physician availability.
• Support admissions, recertifications, revocations, and discharges.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation.
