Job summary

AccentCare in Edison, NJ seeks a Hospice Team Physician to provide clinical leadership and medical expertise as part of an interdisciplinary hospice care team. You will support patients with terminal illnesses, partner with attending physicians, and help ensure high-quality, patient-centered hospice care.

This hybrid position offers a minimum salary of $62,500 annually, with a schedule of 10–12 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) in the state(s) of practice.
• Maintains active DEA license.
• Familiarity with hospice regulations and Medicare requirements.
• Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine is preferred.
• Five or more years of clinical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as clinical leader within the Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) and contribute to care planning and quality improvement.
• Provide medical care for hospice patients, including symptom management and medication review.
• Develop, review, and update individualized Plans of Care to meet patient and family needs.
• Collaborate with Attending Physicians, referring providers, patients, and families on care plans and decisions.
• Participate in on-call coverage to ensure 24/7 physician availability and timely clinical support.
• Support hospice admissions, recertifications, revocations, and discharges.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation.
