Job summary

Calvary Hospital in Brooklyn is seeking a Hospice Social Worker to deliver medical social services, psychosocial and bereavement counseling to patients and families within our palliative care program. The role emphasizes compassionate care aligned with Calvary's tradition and family-like culture.

Candidates should have MSW, LMSW/LCSW eligibility, and prefer 1+ year bereavement and hospice/home care experience. A valid driver's license and vehicle are required for patient visits where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year bereavement counseling experience is preferred.
• At least one year of Hospice or Home Care experience preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required. (This requirement does not apply to positions assigned exclusively to Manhattan territory)
• A vehicle is required to commute to patients. (This requirement does not apply to positions assigned exclusively to Manhattan territory)
• Excellent interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Exhibits an ability and attitude relative to the spirit of caring and tradition at Calvary Hospital as required by specific job duties and functions.
