Responsibilities
- Develop collaborative relationships internally and externally
- Manage financial resources responsibly, projecting return on investment and adhering to marketing budgets
- Conduct effective sales calls to identify and meet referral community needs, communicating features and benefits of LHC Group services, including pre/post call planning, rapport building, questioning, proposing solutions, handling objections, and closing
- Implement weekly, monthly, and quarterly strategies to increase market share through key account development, prospecting, diversification, and optimized territory coverage
- Participate in strategic planning and problem-solving related to marketing growth and community education
- Achieve admission goals as established at hire or during annual reviews
- Complete assignments promptly as directed by supervisors
- Attend staff meetings to update on accounts, customer needs, and growth strategies
- Coordinate community and medical in-services to educate on hospice services as needed
- Check email daily and respond to messages within 24 hours
- Handle sales administration duties such as CRM compliance, expense reports, payroll timesheets, and paperwork delivery or pickup
Education and Experience
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Desired Education
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Two to three years of successful hospice sales experience preferred
Skill Requirements
- Professional and effective interaction with diverse individuals
- Creativity and idea generation for marketing and community outreach
- Effective, persuasive communication with a positive attitude
- Strong time management and organizational skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and ability to drive
- Understanding of home health/hospice coverage issues
- Ability to optimize resource use cost-effectively
