Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a PRN Day Shift registered nurse to provide in-home care across the Boston area. You will perform initial assessments, coordinate plans of care, monitor patient progress, and educate families while collaborating with the care team.

Qualified candidates hold an active RN license in the applicable state, CPR certification, and a valid driver's license. Prior nursing experience is preferred, and compensation reflects market rates for home health in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Current RN license, specific to states assigned.
• One year nursing experience preferred; new grad RN possible for program.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial nursing assessment on new admissions.
• Completes, coordinates, and revises plan of care with continuity of patient care.
• Communicates patient progress to clinical manager, physician and care team.
• Develops and maintains patient care progress records accurately.
• Records pain and symptom changes, educates families on condition and care.
• Makes referrals to hospice disciplines as needed; on-call responsibilities.
