Job summary

Compassus is seeking an on-call Hospice Registered Nurse to provide after-hours and weekend patient care, helping families spend quality time together and maintain comfort. You will build compassionate relationships, empower caregivers with practical guidance, and respond to after-hours needs with professionalism and empathy.

Qualifications

• RN license in/state you work.
• Two years of RN experience; hospice experience preferred.
• Current driver’s license.
• Current CPR and BCLS certification.
• Flex your schedule to meet agency staffing needs; weekends/weeknights or seven days on/off.

Responsibilities

• Provide hospice patient care after-hours and weekend care as needed.
• Enable patients to spend time with loved ones and activities they enjoy.
• Build trusting, compassionate relationships with patients and families.
• Educate caregivers on care for their loved one.
• Help patient and family maintain comfort during after-hours emergencies.
