Job summary

St. Joseph Hospice in Alexandria, LA is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to join our care team. You will perform initial and ongoing patient assessments, support the Plan of Care, educate patients and families, and coordinate care with physicians and staff.

Requirements include Louisiana RN license, CPR, EMR experience, and compassionate time management. We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus, ESOP ownership, competitive pay, health and retirement benefits, and opportunities

Qualifications

• Louisiana RN license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Knowledge of EMR systems preferred.
• Strong time management and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Assists in developing and implementing the Hospice Plan of Care.
• Educates patient and family on Plan of Care and medication administration.
• Acts as liaison between physician, patient/family and hospice team.
• Maintains accurate medical records.
• Makes routine supervisory visits and participates in on-call schedule.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
