Job summary

Anodyne Palliative Services in Chicago is looking for a dedicated RN to join our hospice team. You will assess patients, implement individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team, administer medications, and provide compassionate support to patients and families at end-of-life.

The ideal candidate has an Illinois RN license, at least 1 year of hospice or palliative care experience, knowledge of infection control, and the ability to lift patients as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience, hospice/palliative preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control principles.
• Familiarity with sterile processing techniques.
• Experience in family planning and counseling.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and assist ambulatory patients.
• Familiarity with dementia care techniques.
• Knowledge of medical imaging procedures and interpretation.
• Esthetic laser experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with DME usage and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to hospice patients and families.
• Assess physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor response to treatment and adjust plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on disease, symptoms, and end-of-life care.
• Offer emotional support and counseling.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals for continuity of care.
• Document care activities accurately and timely.
