Job summary

Anodyne Palliative Services is seeking a compassionate RN to provide comprehensive hospice care in Chicago, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to assess needs and implement individualized plans. The role includes medication administration, patient education, and emotional support for families.

Candidates should hold an Illinois RN license with at least 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in hospice or palliative care, and be able to lift patients and operate DME safely.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license.
• Minimum 1 year nursing experience; hospice/palliative care preferred.
• Knowledge of infection control principles and practices.
• Familiarity with sterile processing techniques.
• Experience in family planning and counseling.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and assist ambulatory patients.
• Familiarity with dementia care techniques.
• Knowledge of medical imaging procedures and interpretation.
• Experience with esthetic laser treatment is a plus.
• Familiarity with durable medical equipment (DME) usage and maintenance.
• Proficiency in sonography is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice care to patients and families.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans as needed.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes and symptom management.
• Provide emotional support and counseling.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
• Document care activities accurately and timely.
