Overview

We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an Executive Director - RN to join our team! Use your leadership skills to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those under your care and your team.

Executive Director Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President of Operations, you will oversee the daily operations of your assigned hospice location. Responsibilities include coordinating patient admissions, arranging ancillary services, supervising hospice personnel and volunteers, and maintaining communication with leadership.

Key Job Responsibilities:
  • Focus on quality care and service excellence.
  • Implement continuous quality improvement principles in daily activities.
  • Ensure compliance with accreditation, licensing, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • Manage human resources effectively, including staff supervision, evaluation, and team management to meet performance goals.
  • Promote positive communication, staff training, and ongoing education.
  • Supervise office operations, ensure accurate documentation, and monitor quality of patient care.
  • Handle emergency calls, participate in patient visits if RN, and collaborate with physicians, families, and staff.
  • Manage financial resources, monitor budgets, and review expenses.
About You
  • Education: RN with minimum Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred; Master’s in Business, Nursing, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: At least one year of management/supervisory experience; two or more years in hospice/home care; three years in clinical patient care (preferred); healthcare sales/management experience (preferred).
  • Licenses & Certifications: Valid nursing license, CPR certification, valid driver’s license, and insurance.
  • Skills: Proficient in operating computers, communication tools, and transportation.
