Job summary

Fast Switch, Ltd. in Lincoln, MA is seeking an RN Staff Nurse for a contract role in a Hospice House. The position is Monday–Friday, first shift, with potential contract-to-perm for the right candidate.

You will join an interdisciplinary team, providing coordinated patient care under supervision of the Clinical Manager or Hospice House Manager and attending physician. A strong emphasis on comfort, family support, and adherence to care plans is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice in Massachusetts with good standing.
• Associate degree is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least three years of nursing experience, including acute care.
• Ability to assess and respond to patient and family needs in varied settings.
• Understanding hospice philosophy and principles.
• Self-directed, flexible and able to work in an interdisciplinary team.
• Must have a valid driver's license and insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient/family needs and provide supportive care per orders and plan of care.
• Obtain clinical information from records and staff to understand patient/family situations requiring intervention.
• Communicate pertinent information to the primary nurse and/or manager.
• Maintain regular, effective communication with clinical staff to coordinate patient activities.
• Perform other duties as required or requested.
• Obtain and maintain certifications as defined by policy.
• Be able to transport to patient homes or facilities; travel may cover multiple locations.
