Job summary

MercyOne Genesis Hospice Care is hiring a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, holistic, family-centered end-of-life care in patients' homes across Iowa.

You will perform assessments, plan, implement and evaluate care using evidence-based practice, manage pain and symptoms, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires Iowa RN licensure (Illinois within 6 months), an Associate Degree in Nursing, BLS, and Hospice certification preferred; schedule is full-time, 40 hours, day shift.

Qualifications

• RN license in Iowa required at time of hire.
• Illinois license required within 6 months.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• BLS certification.
• Hospice and palliative care nursing certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, effective, culturally competent, family-based holistic care for terminally ill patients.
• Perform assessments, diagnoses, outcomes identification, planning, implementation and evaluation using evidence-based practice.
• Manage pain and symptoms to maximize quality of life.
• Adhere to Professional Practice Standards and participate in quality monitoring.
