As an Administrator, you will report directly to our Assistant Vice President of Operations. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of your assigned hospice location, overseeing patient admissions, ancillary services, and the supervision and evaluation of hospice personnel and volunteers. You will ensure effective communication with leadership and coordinate services among team members.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrate a commitment to excellence through quality care and service.
  2. Incorporate continuous quality improvement principles into daily activities.
  3. Promote and monitor compliance with accreditation, licensing, regulatory requirements, and laws.
  4. Develop and implement policies and procedures.
  5. Manage Human Resources effectively, including staff supervision, orientation, training, and performance evaluations.
  6. Manage office operations, ensuring documentation accuracy, quality of patient care, and handling emergency situations.
  7. Participate in on-call schedules and routine patient visits as needed.
  8. Collaborate with physicians, patients, families, and staff to address needs and concerns.
  9. Oversee family satisfaction surveys in collaboration with leadership.
  10. Manage financial resources, including budgeting, monitoring expenses, and ensuring expenditures stay within budget.

About You

  • Education:
  • Registered Nurse with at least an Associate’s Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s degree (BSN) preferred; Master’s degree in business, nursing, or related field is a plus.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum one year of management or supervisory experience.
  • At least two years’ experience in hospice or home care.
  • Three years’ experience in clinical patient care (preferred).
  • Experience in healthcare sales or management (preferred).
  • Licenses, Certifications, and Registration:
  • Current nursing license in the state of employment.
  • CPR certification.
  • Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
  • Equipment/Tools/Work-Aids:
  • Ability to operate computers, fax, copier, and cell phone effectively. Must have reliable transportation.

Potential job titles include RN Branch Director, RN Manager, Hospice Director, Director of Nursing, RN Administrator, and similar roles.
