Job summary

Logan Health Hospice seeks an independent RN to lead compassionate end‑of‑life care, visiting patients at home in the Flathead Valley.

You’ll coordinate care from admission through end‑of‑life, educate families, and collaborate with physicians, social workers, chaplains, CNAs, LPNs, and volunteers.

Qualifications

  • Current Montana RN license or a multi-state compact license authorized for practice in Montana.
  • BSN degree preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position within a medical setting.
  • Current Driver’s License required with a clean record for the past 36 months.
  • Ability to drive in winter weather and reliable vehicle ownership.
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology, and nursing practice principles.
  • BLS (basic life support) within seven days of hire or before independent patient care.
  • Understanding of HIPAA confidentiality requirements and OSHA rules.
  • Excellent organizational, critical‑thinking, and prioritization skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to manage sensitive situations.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn additional software as needed.

Overview

Are you an RN with a heart for hospice? Logan Health Hospice seeks an independent, self‑directed RN with strong clinical nursing skills to join our compassionate interdisciplinary team. Working in hospice brings nursing back to the bedside, building real relationships with patients and families while guiding them through symptom management, education, and comfort care at the end of life.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

  • Current Driver’s License required with a clean record for the past thirty‑six (36) months (no major offenses such as DUI, felony motor‑vehicle offenses, suspended license, or three or more major speeding tickets).
  • Ability to drive in winter weather and reliable vehicle ownership.
  • Knowledge of professional nursing theory, medical terminology, and nursing practice principles.
  • Booty of BLS (basic life support) within seven days of hire or before independent patient care, whichever occurs first.
  • Understanding of HIPAA confidentiality requirements and relevant OSHA rules.
  • Excellent organizational, critical‑thinking, and prioritization skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn additional software as needed.

Schedule

Variable – 8 hours per day, full‑time (40 hours per week). On call, holiday, and weekend shift rotation required. Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
