Job summary

MercyOne Genesis Hospice Care is hiring a Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive end-of-life care. The role emphasizes safe, holistic, family-centered nursing with assessments, planning, and coordination of care for terminally ill patients and their families.

The position is full-time with day shift hours (M-F 0800-1630) and occasional on-call and holidays. Applicants should have an Associate Degree in Nursing, an Iowa RN license, and current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• RN license Iowa required at time of hire; Illinois required within 6 months.
• BLS certification required.
• Hospice or palliative care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Manage pain and symptoms in end-of-life care.
• Provide holistic, culturally competent, family-based care.
• Coordinate with care team and participate in on-call schedule.
• Document care plans and outcomes.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing

RN License (Iowa)

Valid Driver's License & Auto Insurance

More than 2 years experience

Hospice & Palliative Care Certification (preferred)
