Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Hospice Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, patient-centered care—assessing needs, coordinating care plans, managing symptoms, and educating families in the Alabama area.

You will collaborate with the clinical team, document care progress, and participate in on-call coverage. A comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Current RN license valid for the assigned state(s).
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial nursing assessment on new admissions.
• Completes and revises the plan of care with the care team.
• Communicates patient progress to the clinical manager and team.
• Maintains patient care records accurately and timely.
• Records pain and symptom changes and outcomes.
• Educates families about patient condition and needs.
• Makes referrals to other hospice disciplines as needed.
• On-call responsibilities and on-call services for patients/families.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
