Job summary

Main Line Health in the Philadelphia area is seeking a Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to provide in-home care, education and support to patients with life-limiting illness, coordinating with the Hospice and Palliative IDG to address physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs.

The role offers a day shift (8:30 am - 5:00 pm) with weekend rotation, eligibility for tuition reimbursement up to $6,000 per year, and opportunities to engage in nursing committees and professional development.

Qualifications

• Two years of recent med-surg experience in an acute or long-term care setting, rehabilitation, home care, or hospice.
• Hospice nurse experience preferred.
• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• RN Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, education and support to patients and families in their home.
• Coordinate care with the Hospice and Palliative Care IDG.
• Join hospital and system-wide Nursing Committees and unit councils.

Experience:

Licensures/Certifications:

1. 1. Current license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania OR a multi-state license verified in one of the approved states through the Nursing Licensure Compact.
2. 2. Valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
3. 3. Provider BLS (American Heart Assoc/American Red Cross) preferred.
4. 4. Certification in Hospice and Palliative Nursing preferred.
