Job description

IN OFFICE-Mansfield, Texas | Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Every education session you lead, every chart you review, every clinician you coach, and every quality initiative you champion has the potential to improve the experience of hundreds of patients and families each year.

At AlēvCare Hospice, we believe exceptional hospice care starts with exceptional people.

We are a locally-owned hospice serving patients and families throughout North Texas. While many healthcare organizations have grown larger and more corporate, we have intentionally maintained our hometown feel and commitment to personal, compassionate care.

We're proud to be one of only a handful of hospices in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex to currently have a 5-Star Medicare Quality Rating and the only hospice in DFW to receive the 2025 Hospice CAHPS Honors ELITE Award.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced hospice professional to serve as our Hospice Quality & Education Manager, a key leadership position focused on strengthening clinical excellence, developing team members, supporting quality initiatives, and helping ensure we continue delivering outstanding care to every patient and family we serve.

This is not a traditional classroom education role. It's an opportunity to influence the quality of care delivered across the entire organization.

  • Locally-owned and operated hospice
  • 5-Star Medicare Quality Rating
  • Supportive leadership team that values collaboration and integrity
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients, families, and fellow team members
  • Stable, growing organization with a strong reputation in the community
  • Leadership growth opportunities for the right candidate
  • Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications
  • Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
Position Summary

The Hospice Quality & Education Manager works closely with our Director of Operations and clinical leadership team to strengthen quality, documentation excellence, regulatory readiness, and employee development throughout the organization.

This individual will help identify opportunities for improvement through chart audits, documentation reviews, quality monitoring activities, and trend analysis. They will then develop and deliver meaningful education, coaching, and support to help our team continuously improve.

The ideal candidate is passionate about hospice care, enjoys developing others, and understands that education is most effective when it is connected directly to real-world clinical practice.

This position is based in our Mansfield office and participates in a four-person Administrator-On-Call rotation.

Example Responsibilities Could Include:
  • Orientation and onboarding of new clinical staff
  • Annual competency assessments
  • Ongoing education and in-services
  • QAPI program coordination and data analysis
  • Chart audits and documentation improvement
  • Regulatory readiness (ACHC/Joint Commission/CMS)
  • EMR training and support
  • Assisting the DOH with clinical tasks and scheduling management or other projects as needed.
QualificationsRequired
  • Active Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Strong understanding of hospice regulations, eligibility requirements, and documentation standards
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and coaching skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and develop others
  • Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications
Preferred
  • Previous experience as a Hospice Director of Nurses, Hospice Clinical Manager, Hospice Patient Care Manager, Clinical Educator, or other hospice leadership role
  • Experience with QAPI, compliance, quality improvement, or survey readiness
  • Experience conducting chart audits and documentation reviews
  • CHPN certification
  • Experience preparing for or participating in state, ACHC, Joint Commission, or CMS surveys
Who Will Thrive Here

We are looking for someone who loves hospice, enjoys developing others, sees coaching as an opportunity rather than criticism, and takes pride in helping great clinicians become even better.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable teaching a new employee, auditing a complex hospice chart, leading a quality improvement initiative, facilitating an educational session, or helping prepare the organization for survey readiness.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who shares our commitment to doing the right thing, at the right time, for the right reason.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and play a key role in the continued growth and development of our organization. For the right individual, there may be opportunities for expanded leadership responsibilities in the future.

If you're passionate about hospice care and want to help shape the future of a growing, award-winning organization, we'd love to hear from you.
