HOSPICE PHYSICIAN

BAYADA Home Health Care Hospice is seeking to fill the position of full-time Hospice Physician for our VT Locations. These offices provide best-in-class care to our hospice clients throughout Vermont and one location in New Hampshire. Candidates must have a valid VT/NH license but can work remotely.

Qualifications:
  • Exemplifies characteristics of The BAYADA Way: compassion, excellence, and reliability.
  • Licensed to practice medicine or osteopathy without restriction in VT/NH and able to provide proof of current licensure.
  • Extensive knowledge of ethical and professional standards, applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to hospice care.
  • Maintains valid DEA registration and any applicable state agency registration without limitations on prescribing drugs; must provide proof upon request.
  • Unrestricted medical staff membership and clinical privileges at Hospice inpatient facilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate and communicate the beliefs and values of The BAYADA Way.
  • Oversee palliation and management of terminal illness, comorbidities, and symptoms.
  • Participate in Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings to coordinate hospice care, including initial and ongoing assessments.
  • Certify and recertify client eligibility for hospice care.
  • Ensure Plans of Care are medically appropriate and compliant with laws and regulations.
