Career Strategies is seeking a compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our Hospice/Palliative Care team in California. The NP will provide clinical practice, education, consultation, and participate in research, working with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LVNs, HHAs, PTs, OTs, STs, MSWs, nursing students and newly employed RNs.
Home visits may be required when necessary. Applicants must hold California NP licensure, CPR, and a Master's degree; Furnishing License and DEA certification
VNA is looking for a caring and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our caring and compassionate Hospice/Palliative Care team. Responsibilities for this position include clinical practice, education, consultation, and research. This position works interdependently with the multidisciplinary team, guiding members of the multidisciplinary team, (e.g., RNs, LVNs, HHAs, PTs, OTs, STs, MSWs, nursing students and newly employed RNs), as appropriate, and supervises patient plans of care including education on Hospice Benefit as appropriate. The NP may perform home visits when physicians/NP level visit is needed for patients in absence of their primary physician of record.
Salary Range: $76.53 - $83.22 Hour Status: Full-time Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, 403(b) Education/Experience/Qualifications: Possession of a license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of California. Current CPR certification. Master's degree or equivalent certification required. CA requires a Furnishing License and DEA Certificate or obtain within one year of placement in position. Knowledge of Medicare regulations. Excellent knowledge of fundamentals of pain and symptom management. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Fluent in Spanish including medical terminology preferred. Demonstrated organizational skills. Must have the ability to establish and maintain cooperative relationships with professionals and lay groups. Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary group. Strong commitment to the interdisciplinary team approach to care.
