Job summary

Providence Hospice and Palliative Care, a division of Providence Life Services, is seeking a Hospice Administrator to oversee operations in St. John, IN and Homer Glen, IL.

The role leads Illinois and Indiana teams to ensure patient-centered care, regulatory compliance, and financial stability. You will drive staffing, budgets, data reporting, and quality outcomes while building strong relationships with physicians and referral partners.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Indiana; preferred dual licensure in Indiana and Illinois.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or related field.
• At least 2 years' leadership experience in hospice or similar healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of hospice regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage operations, and drive results.
• Solid budgeting and financial management experience.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Driver’s license and clean driving record.
• On-site work at Homer Glen, IL and St. John, IN offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day operations of Illinois and Indiana Hospice teams.
• Ensure full compliance with federal, state and local regulations including Medicare/Medicaid.
• Build, mentor and lead high-performing clinical and administrative staff.
• Manage budgets, financial performance, and resource allocation.
• Maintain survey readiness and accreditation standards.
• Collect data and complete required reports.
• Partner with clinical leadership to drive quality outcomes and patient care.
• Strengthen relationships with referral sources and community partners.
• Identify opportunities to improve patient satisfaction and performance.
• Ensure adequate staffing and uphold ethical standards.
