Job summary

Karen Ann Quinlan Memorial Fdn in New Jersey is seeking a Part-Time Exempt RN to support Hospice at-home care. This weekend rotation runs Sat 8:30a through Mon 8:30a, with compensation $58,500 per year, and a focus on assessment, care planning and family education.

You will perform nursing assessments, follow care plans, document, administer meds, coordinate with physicians and provide patient/family teaching while maintaining infection control and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree and NJ RN licensure required; PA licensure if practicing there.
• Experience in hospice or home care preferred.
• Proficient in documentation, patient assessment, and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Performs ongoing physical and psychosocial assessment of Hospice patients.
• Follows established plan of care and reports observations to team leader.
• Collaborates with nursing staff on new diagnoses and plan changes.
• Instructs and supervises hospice aides/LPN staff.
• Administers medications and supports patient/family education.
• Documents vital signs, interventions and patient responses; maintains charts.
