Job summary

Brighton Hospice in Atlanta, GA seeks a Nurse Practitioner to perform physical examinations and preventive health measures under physician guidance.

You will record findings, develop care plans with physicians, prescribe or recommend treatments, monitor progress, and collaborate with hospice staff and volunteers as part of an IDT.

Accredited NP program, state licensure in good standing, and reliable transportation with valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• State licensure in good standing.
• Willingness to drive with reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions of physician.
• Records physical findings, and formulates plan and prognosis, based on patient's condition.
• Discusses case with physician and other health professionals to prepare comprehensive patient care plan.
• Prescribes or recommends drugs or other forms of treatment.
• Monitors and maintains progress of patients and reports progress to supervising physician.
