Job summary

AccentCare is seeking a Hospice Nurse Practitioner for PRN/part-time coverage in the St. Louis area. The NP will coordinate care with physicians and the hospice team, assess patients, and provide patient- and family-centered education.

Qualified candidates hold an NP license with a Master’s degree, national certification, and at least one year of NP experience. CPR is preferred; must be able to travel to all locations served.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or equivalent.
• Current, unencumbered Advanced Practice Nurse license in state of practice.
• One year of NP experience.
• National certification as an advanced practice nurse.
• CPR certification (preferred).
• Licensed driver able to travel to all business locations.
• Must meet state regulatory requirements for practice.

Responsibilities

• Initiate communication with physicians and hospice staff to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and update team; assist with discharge planning and family education.
• Prescribe medications as permitted by state regulations.
