Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a Hospice Nurse Practitioner (PRN) in Virginia to assess and manage patients at home, coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to optimize comfort and quality of life.

The role requires NP licensure in the applicable state, Medicare billing privileges, and CPR certification. Compensation includes hourly pay with mileage reimbursement and flexible hours under a PRN arrangement.

Qualifications

• Must hold current and unencumbered NP license in the state of assignment.
• Knowledge of Medicare reimbursement and coding for home care and hospice.
• Must have CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate significant findings to the clinical manager and interdisciplinary team.
• Complete face-to-face encounters and assess disease progression, function, and pain management.
• Order and review labs, imaging, and other procedures as appropriate, and document plans with the physician.
• Make referrals to other disciplines as needed based on patient needs.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary team conferences.
