Job summary

Residential Home Health and Residential Hospice seeks a Hospice Music Therapist, PRN, to deliver compassionate music therapy to patients in their homes around Moosic, PA. The role emphasizes autonomy within a supportive team.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor of Music Therapy with MT-BC, state licensing if required, and relevant geriatric/end-of-life experience. Travel to patient homes is expected, with a flexible, PRN schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Music Therapy degree required.
• Current Board certified (MT-BC) credential.
• State music therapy licensing where required.
• At least six (6) months of work/education experience with geriatric health care.
• At least six (6) months of work/education experience with end-of-life/terminal illness health care.
• Current driver’s license and ability to spend ~20% of your day driving to/from patient locations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a hospice setting.
• Provide music therapy services per hospice care plans to promote comfort and quality of life for patients and families.
• Educate and support patients and caregivers through therapeutic music interventions with empathy.
• Work independently but collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.
• Travel to patient homes within assigned territory.
