Job summary

Moments Hospice is seeking a Music Therapist to lead patient-centered music therapy interventions and improve comfort for individuals at the end of life. You will work with the clinical team to tailor plans, document outcomes, and support family members.

Required CBMT certification, instrument proficiency, and strong communication. A driver’s license and understanding of hospice care are essential for on-site travel and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Music Practitioner or graduate of a program focused on music as an intervention for health and wellness.
• Must be Board Certified as a Music Therapist by the CBMT.
• Musical intelligence and mastery of at least one instrument.
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and comfort providing specialized care to the terminally ill.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow all safety rules and regulations (HIPAA, etc).
• Valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist patients in music therapy interventions.
• Reduce symptoms like anxiety, depression, isolation, agitation through music.
• Educate the clinical team on music therapy appropriateness and contraindications.
• Maintain accurate records within 24 hours of sessions and update as needed.
