Job summary

Moments Hospice is seeking a Music Therapist to lead interventions and support patients with compassionate, individualized music therapy during their final days. You will work closely with the clinical team to apply therapeutic music solutions and document progress in timely records.

The role emphasizes autonomy, collaboration, and continuous professional growth through structured training and education programs, with a competitive compensation package and a company car option for on-the-road

Qualifications

• Experience as a Music Practitioner or graduate of a music intervention program.
• Board Certified Music Therapist (CBMT) is required.
• Proficient in at least one instrument.
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and comfort providing specialized care to the terminally ill.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist patients in music therapy interventions.
• Reduce symptoms like anxiety, depression, isolation, agitation through music.
• Educate the clinical team on music therapy appropriateness and contraindications.
• Maintain accurate records (clinical notes, charts, coordination notes) within 24 hours of sessions.
